The GNDP capitalizes on the ITC-ILO 20 years of experience in capacity building for gender mainstreaming and women’s socio-economic empowerment.

The Programme works on two parallel, mutually reinforcing strands: regular on-campus and on-line training courses are offered every year, whilst tailor-made capacity building programme and awareness raising campaigns are designed according to the needs agreed with donor and/or requesting national organisations, and often with the inputs of both ILO and ITCILO gender networks.

On line learning: the Gender Campus

GNDP has been a pioneer in designing and delivering on-line learning and information programmes, through a multi-lingual “Gender Campus” offering a wide range of modular courses on gender issues in the world of work and in sustainable development operations.

Face to face training courses

The Programme regularly offers standard face to face training workshops of 1 to 2 weeks duration in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.  Tailor made activities can cover other languages.
